Accent Furniture
Some furniture is formal and serious, some minimal and understated.
And sometimes you need some furry friends to liven up a space!
Fufu and Wilbur may be different species, but they’ve got something in common. They’re irresistible to touch and come in a great collection of subtle and not-so-subtle colors.
Each Fufu Stool begins as a traditional form, hand-carved by the Senufo people of Ivory Coast—a community renowned for their ancestral woodworking traditions. The leather hide, dyed in the Himalayan highlands of Tibet using age-old botanical techniques, is then stretched and hand-assembled in our historic 1893 textile mill in Burlington, North Carolina. The result is a stool that is both primal and poetic.
The Wilbur Chair is a whimsical expression of a warm and woolly hug! Its seamless seat and back are meticulously crafted by artisans in Varanasi, India, where loom and legacy converge in the ancient practice of weaving. Each piece is then precisely sewn, assembled, and finished in our Burlington mill, in a seamless fusion of South Asian artisan craft and American ingenuity.
